Mammillaria plumosa ‘Feather Cactus’ is a small globose and colonial cactus very popular in collections around the world for its exotic morphology. Mammillaria plumosa stems up to 5 inches (12.5 cm) tall and up to 16 inches (40 cm) in diameter. The stems are up to 2.8 inches (7 cm) in diameter and completely covered in white, downy spines.
It is a native species of Mexico but its ornamental value has allowed its introduction in gardens of other continents.
