Kalanchoe blossfeldiana (Flaming Katy)

The robust and resistant type of Flaming Katy has made these plants with the most popular and best-known houseplants. Succulents can easily deal with gardeners who do not need water because their need for moisture is extremely low.

The Kalanchoe blossfeldiana is often said to bloom only in the first year. In fact, the plants from Madagascar are extremely lazy to bloom, but with the right care tips and tricks you can also encourage the houseplant to flower a second and third time.

Kalanchoe care is minimal but be cautious about light levels. Strong southern light can burn the tips of the leaves. Place pots in partial sun to light shade areas when growing Kalachoe plants.   Learn more at  CARE, BREEDING AND TIPS OF KALANCHOE FLOWERS PLANT

Flaming Käthchen is often like a game of chance to stimulate the plant to bloom in the 2nd and 3rd year. If you have kept all the temperatures and the right light during the winter and the Kalanchoe does not bloom, you should propagate the plant by offshoots. So you can reliably enjoy a new bloom of succulents within a few months.

For some time now, the flowers of the newly purchased plant have appeared matt and colorless. What could be the trigger for this?

Crops purchased from specialist retailers often take some time to get used to the new lighting and location conditions. The Flaming Käthchen is no exception and takes a few days before it shines in its usual bloom.

Clay pots work exceptionally well for planting Kalanchoes. Ensure pots can drain well, and saucers can empty easily… – Learn more at  2 WAYS TO PROPAGATE KALANCHOE PLANTS
